Was i overcharged for my hair or not?

So a day ago i went to a new salon to get my roots rehighlighted and my ends trimmed. I was charged $127 (thats without tip)!! On their menu it said $42 dollars for style shampoo and blowdry and their highlighting ranged from $43-85. I had to pay full price for both and i don't understand why because all i did was get about half an inch cut off, about an inch of roots redone (full foil) and my hair shampood and blowdryed...at my last salon which was much nicer than this one (and the stylist did a lot better job there as well) getting my full head highlighted and a trim was about 30 dollars cheaper!!

I mean shouldn't a trim be cheaper than 42 and a touch up of color be cheaper than 85?

If you only got your roots touched up and you didnt dye all of your hair i dont know why she charged so much for the dying

Yeah I agree I wish it was cheaper but thats about the average price i pay to get my hair re highlighted and trimmed. Sometimes more.

You weren't really overcharged. Even a trim has to be cut like the way your hair was cut initially, so it's no different than getting inches and inches cut. A blow dry and style will run your ticket up further, and $42 isn't that bad for a cut/style. I pay $50 for mine.

Haircolor is always expensive. Full head foils are more expensive than a regular root touchup because your stylist has to weave out all your old highlights. It's a lot more work than you think.

You were over charged, that happens to my mom all of the time. But our barber shop is called style cuts, did you go there because that is a US buisness

yes you where over priced my moms a hair stylist and her prices are never that high
