You guys, i wanna wear too braids. will it make me look childish?

Okay, I'm 13, and going into the 8th grade. I recently got my hair cut shoulder length cuz I had so much damage. and I STILL have damage, but i didnt want it to go any shorter. then i was gonna get side bangs, more like an emo or scene look kinda. but im an not emo or scene. the stylist, made my bangs kinda flowing so they disappeared with my hair, i told her i didnt want them to disappear, and i wanted them shorter. she cut them TOO short. they are at eye level, and my hair is sooo thick. so my hair puffs up, the bangs do, and i cant keep them down. ive put wax on them, and everything. and she took too much hair and cut it. so yeah. its too short, and im soooo embarrassed because of it, cuz now i have to keep clippig them, im gonna clip them up tomorrow for school. like laying in the middle of muy head with a clip, and then have 2 regular braids on each side. i wanted french braids, but i cant. so is my style too childish?

instad of just making your bangs sit there, clip them with two bobby pins, then push them out a little, so they poof, it gives extra detail and makes it look more professional.

Go there, and theres an example of what i am telling you to do. Make yours slightly less messy, and it might take some practise for it to look good, but it looks nice. I think you should braid it, sleep on it, and then take the braids out in the morning, It's cute, and sophisticated, and that way if you don't like it, you can always put the braids back in!

I'm going into 10th Grade, I think you can get away with braids and being whatever you feel like in Middle School, worry in High School, College and in Life, but your fine being younger, enjoy being youger and unjudged.

Okay, I had the same thing happen to me last year. I put the top part of my bangs and clipped it on the side so it looks thinner and straightened the other part down so it doesn't stick up very much. Then spray it so it won't poof up or anything. Then you can put it in braids or whatever. It wouldnt look THAT childish I don't think.Does that make sense? =/
