I'm really toying with the idea of getting side swept bangs. Should I get them?

Hey. I'm getting my hair cut in a couple of days, and I really want to go for a new look. I am thinking about side swept bangs and layers. Now I've never changed my hairstyle before and I don't want to make a huge mistake. I have thin, long, blonde hair about 3 inches past my shoulder. Sorry I can't provide a picture; I just don't know how. I'm 15 and about 5'4 (if that makes a difference). One more thing: my parents and my friends are all used to me being the same, so if I changed in the slightest bit, I'm afraid they would treat me differently. Should I go for it? Please tell me if you think I should get side swept bangs and/or layering. Any styling tips? Thanks so much! Oh, and if you do think I should go for it, do you think they would get in the way of running, ect.? I'm on track, so... thanks, bye!

ps. I really like Ellen Pompeo's hair. Can anyone tell me what to tell my stylist if I wanna do something like her hair? Once again, thanks.

i say go for it. just get long layers. dont let them cut layers starting at ur chin or anything bc if ur hair is thick n they do that it will look like a mullet. i %26lt;3 my side swept bangs. you can just pin them down with bobby pins. think of it this way.. if you dont go for it you will keep thinking about it %26amp; what it would have looked like if u had done it. if you do it n hate something it will always grow back. i think it will be a good change. :) good luck. if it looks like crap blame it on the stylist LOL. bringing a picture always helps bc i dunno who ellen is lol.

for track, u would definitely have to clip them back and they can get annoying lol i personally like the way they look but they can just get so annoying in ur face constantly so u have to decide if you want to go for looks or comfort.
