Layers!!???

I have layers in my hair and I absolutly HATE them, they pouf out and just look wierd!! I have thick wavy hair!! The shortest layer is at the bottom of my ear I think and I when I get my hair cut I dk what to tell the stylist!! If I tell her I don't like them do you think she can fix them so that they look better or should I just get my hair cut to the shortest layer?? Would hair that short look good with side bangs??

You could cut your hair short with side bangs. It could look really cute. Or just allow your hair to grow out and ask for the stylist to just trim your hair and the layers because you are trying to grow them out. Eventually when they hit the length you want, cut your hair all the same length. Or since straightening doesn't seem to work, try curling your hair. Tighter curls on the bottom and looser ones on the top. It might even it out.

I think you should just ask your styist to fix them. Don't tell them to stop what they are doing. I know its always nerve racking when they are cutting your hair but they know what they are doing and they know how to make your hair look good. Just explain your situation to them and they'll be able to fix it. There is no need to just chop it all off. And one trick for puffy, static prone hair is to rub some lotion into your hands and then run your fingers through your hair. Insta-sleek.

I have thick, wavy hair as well. The only way I can get my hair to not poof is to have layers put in. If they are done properly then it should work out fine to either leave it wavy or straight. Go to a salon and have it done.. don't go to like cost cutters or something. Paying the price to get it done correctly the first time is well worth it and then it is just maintaining the layers from there.

Short hair would look fine with side bangs. I've seen girls do it and it looks really cute. And next time you go to get your hair done tell the barber what you feel about your hair he/she will understand

Thats because your layesrs are too short. My hairs like yours and i have step layers at the front and layesr all around. Grow your hair and get layers but not above your jawline. Short layers will make your head look bigger ang look as though you've got thin hair.
