Hi...
I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly would have to be done to lighten my hair. First of all, my previously fried hair has not seen a straightner in over 3 months. Which is the best thing I could've done for it as it looks a MILLION times better!!
BUT
I am waiting for it to grow ( I also cut like 6 inches off cuz it was FRIED DEAD AND DAMAGED)...it had been highlighted, dyed, highlighted again..then dyed one more time. The color I've ended up with is a dark blonde, light brown that's ashyier, but not as ashy as I'd like it. My stylist informed me it was stained( the last time I highlighted it wouldn't lighten all the way) Which explains my current color. I would love to get it to a medium ash blonde (the ashy light almost gray-but-not-(still-hott-color).
My goal color is the Loreal Natural Match hair dye color, 8C medium ash blonde...SOOO does ne1 know the steps/processing..and cost of all this at most salons??!!!??
Thanks in advance!!
Hair Processing...lightening hilighted/dyed hair?!?!?
What you'll need is called stripping, to remove the old dye. Basically what they'll do is bleach your hair, maybe in stages, to get the color out. In the process, they'll essentially strip the entire outer layer of your hair, so your hair will be dry and extremely prone to breaking. It is a last option. The salons will have to look at your hair to tell you cost, cause sometimes, it will take 2 or 3 visits to complete it.
I had my hair stripped of jet black hair dye to go blonde and it really makes your hair feel like doll hair. It is so breakable and elastic, it makes you afraid of combing it.
